Faceless video channels are everywhere right now, and the pitch is always the same: type a prompt, get a finished short. I run AI ad production for my agency, so I put two of the most popular tools head to head with identical briefs.
The test
Same niche (small business tech tips), same script outline, same target length of 45 seconds. I judged each on script quality, voiceover, stock footage matching, captions, and how much cleanup the output needed before I would post it.
AutoShorts.ai
AutoShorts.ai is built around a set-and-forget pipeline. You pick a niche, connect a channel, and it generates and posts on a schedule. The scripts came out punchy and the caption styling is clean out of the box. Where it wins is automation: if your goal is a channel that runs while you sleep, this is the closest thing to it I have tested.
Revid AI
Revid AI gives you more manual control. You can feed it your own script, swap b-roll clip by clip, and regenerate just the voiceover. My best single video of the test came out of Revid, but it took me about 15 minutes of tweaking versus zero on AutoShorts.
Verdict
Hands-off volume: AutoShorts. Craftsmanship per video: Revid. I keep both in the toolkit because they solve different problems, but if you are just starting a faceless channel, start with AutoShorts and add Revid once you know what performs.
